2 Easy Ways to Look at Computers and Laptop Specifications

Knowing the specifications of a computer or laptop is very important.
When you want to install an application or game, first you must make absolutely sure that the computer or laptop you have have specifications that meet to install the application or game.
If we are forced to install heavy applications but is not supported by an adequate specification, it will decrease the performance of your computer.
To view the specifications of your computer or laptop, you can check using the DirectX Diagnostic Tools or with the help of software such as Speccy.
A. Looking at the computer specs through the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (dxdiag)
1. Log on DirectX Diagnostic Tools by pressing Win + R, then type dxdiag then Enter.

2. Window information on the specifications of your computer will appear as shown below.
3. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tools menu there are 4 tabs, among others:
- The System tab displays some general information about your computer's specifications.
- Display tab contains about matters relating to the VGA card found on your computer.
- On the Sound tab, you can see the sound card (sound card) along with the drivers being used on your computer.
- Input tab displays the input device (input devie) used on your computer, eg mouse and keyboard.

B. Looking at the specifications of computer use Speccy
1. Download the application here first.
2. Install the application and open applications Speccy.
3. A window information on the specifications of your computer will appear as shown below.

Unlike the DirectX Diagnostic Tools, Speccy displays information about your computer's specifications more complete and detailed. For example, I try to see my own laptop specs.
As you can see in the picture above, Speccy featuring almost all the hardware found on my laptop.
You do not have to use the DirectX Diagnostic Tools and Speccy. There are many applications that you can try to see the specifications and laptop computers such as CPU-Z, GPU-Z, HWiNFO, and others.

20 Kinds of Computer Hardware and its definition

On this occasion, I will review the understanding and assorted computer hardware or hardware.
Computer itself has been used by many people. Physically, the computer also has components called hardware.
In the computer world, the understanding of the hardware or the hardware is the physical components that make up a computer system.
Hardware themselves have different properties with software that can be seen, touched and shaped real. The types of hardware on the computer is not only focused on the inside of the computer only, but any device that supports the computer's performance.
Various Kinds of Computer Hardware
1. Motherboard

The motherboard is the circuit board that serves as the computer components such as processor, hard drive, RAM and others. The motherboard itself in the form of a main board PCB-shaped and has a BIOS chip, lines and connectors that serves to connect each device.
2. Processor

Processor is an IC that controls the entire operations of a computer system. Processor or CPU (Central Processing Unit) can be regarded as the brains of a computer, as well as commanding duty calculating program that will be run by a computer.
3. Hard Disk

Hard disk or hard disk drive (HDD) is a computer hardware that serves as a storage medium. In a hard disk, there are more than one dish which serves to enlarge the capacity of data that can be accommodated by the hard disk.
4. PC Cooler / Heatsink

5. Monitor

Monitor is one of the hardware that is classified as an output device which display the results of data processing in the form of graphics. Each brand has a monitor sizes and resolutions vary. The types of monitors are most common today is a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitors and LCD (Liquid Crystal Display).
6. SSD

SSD or Solid State Drive is the latest innovation from its predecessor the hard disk. SSD is a storage medium that uses a type of solid state memory for data storage. SSD also has the same function as a hard disk, but a little different from the hard disk.

The data on the SSD is stored on-chip flash memory chips are connected. These chips have the speed and reliability higher than USB Thumb Drive (UFD). In terms of pricing, SSDs are more expensive than HDD although with the same capacity.
7. VGA Card

VGA or Video Graphics Adapter is a hardware device that functions to process data graphics to be displayed by the monitor. VGA also has a processor which is called GPU (Graphic Processing Unit). Typically the hardware is sorely needed, especially for gamers and designers.
8. Optical Drive

Optical drives are one atu hardware that serves to read (read) and write (write) data from CDs / DVDs. There are several types of optical drive that you need to know, such as: CD ROM drive, CD RW drive, DVD ROM drive and others.
9. Power Supply

Power Supply is hardware that functions as a power supply to other components such as motherboard, processor, VGA, etc. Power supply is arguably the heart of the computer, so the computer is impossible to live without this device.
10. RAM

RAM or Random Access Memory is the hardware that hold data and instructions performed by the processor. In contrast to the hard disk, storage in RAM is temporary. So when the computer is turned off, the data and instructions stored by RAM is lost / emptied except the computer in hibernate mode.
11. Keyboard

The keyboard is a key plank classified as input devices. The keyboard itself consists of a row of letters and numbers. There are different types of keyboards, among others: QWERTY keyboard, the Dvorak keyboard, keyboard KLOCKENBERG, Maltron keyboard, keyboard alphabetik, and Numeric keyboard.
12. Mouse

As with the keyboard, the mouse is also classified as input devices. Mouse function moves the cursor or refer the application to run. This device is called a mouse, because its shape resembles a mouse. There are many types of mouse, among other things: a serial mouse, PS2 mouse, USB mouse and wireless mouse.
13. Printer

Similarly, monitor, printer hardware is classified as a tool output. Printer function to print the data processing in the form of text / image on paper (hard copy). Based on the technology used today, the types of printers that were encountered are Dotmatrix printer, Inkjet printer and Laserjet printers.
14. Sound Card

Sound Card is a hardware device that functions to process data in the form of audio or voice. At first, only a complement to the computer sound card, but this time the sound card is a device that must be owned by the user of the computer.
15. Scanner

Scanner is a hardware that has a way of working that is almost the same as photocopying. In contrast to the workings of the copier, scanner function to change the hard file into digital files that can be processed in a computer.
16. LCD Projector

LCD projector is one type of projector that is usually used to display video and pictures from a computer on a screen or on a field that has a flat surface. To view a video / picture, LCD projectors send light from the metal halide and then forwarded to the prism through which light will be scattered on three polysilikon panel, which is a component of red, green, and blue on the video signal.
17. Modem

The modem has an extension Modulator Demodulator. Modem functioning to convert the digital signal into an analog signal. Data from the computer in the form of digital signal converted by the modem into data in the form of analog signals, when the modem receives data from outside in the form of analog signals, the modem will turn it back into digital form so that the data can be processed by computers.
18. NIC / LAN Card

NIC or Network Interface Card is a card that serves to connect a computer to the Internet network. There are currently two types of NIC are known, among which are physical NIC (example: NIC Ethernet, Token Ring, etc.) and logical NIC (example: Loopback Adapter and Dial-up Adapter).

Actually there are many kinds of hardware that I have not mentioned above. But Hopefully if there's time, I will update it immediately. Well, I hope today's post helpful, Thanks

What Is a Computer Networking Devices? Listen Definition and Type-Kind As Below

Two or more computers can connect to each other and different sources of data due to a network device that bridges the second computer. Computer networking hardware is a device used to achieve the purpose of the function of the computer network itself, such as resource sharing, communication and others.

Already you know what devices the computer network? Consider the kinds of computer networking devices below:
1. Router

Router is a network device that serves to connect two or more networks so that data can be sent from one network to another. By using a router, we can connect two different networks, examples can be connected to the network 192.168.2.0/24 200.200.200.0/24.

A glimpse of how the router is arguably similar to the bridge, which are equally forward data packets, dividing the network into multiple segments or uniting segments of the network, only routers that are in the third OSI layer.
2. Wireless Card

Wireless card is a network device that can connect two devices wirelessly or without the use of cable media. By using a wireless card, two or more computers can be interconnected via wifi network, without having to use a network cable.

Currently most laptops are equipped with a wireless card in it, so we do not need to buy it separately, as opposed to the computer that we first have to buy it separately.
3. LAN Card

As with the other network devices, LAN card berfungisi also connect two or more computers using a cable media. These devices are widely used in LAN networks.

LAN card is also in charge of changing the form of parallel data stream into a serial form, so it can be transmitted through the network media such as UTP.
4. Modem

Modulator demodulator or often abbreviated to the modem is a network device that has the function of converting the digital signal into an analog signal, or vice versa.

Data provided to the computer to the modem is generally shaped digital sinyak. Therefore, when the modem to get data in the form of analog signals, the modem must change first into digital signals that can be processed further by a computer.
5. Bridge

Bridge is a network device that has the function of expanding a network at the same time create a network segment.
The workings of the bridge is to identify the MAC address transmitting a data to the network, then the bridge will automatically create an internal table, where this table can determine which segments will be routed and filtered.
6. Hub

Hub is a network device that served to change the signal transmission network, where it is intended that two or more computers can be connected.

Hub can not regulate the flow of the course of the data, so that each data packet that passes through the hub will dibroadcast to all ports until the packet data in question to the destination. This makes for a packet of data sent experienced a collision or collisions.
7. Switch

Switch is a network device that has a function similar to hubs, but these devices 'smarter' than a hub because it can overcome the problem of data collision. Not only that, the switch also has some advantages such as speed of data transfer and the extensive network that is much better than a hub.

In addition, the switch is not only used to split the signal but also filter data packets and then forwards it to the destination network.
8. Cable Networks

The network cable is a transmission medium in the form of cable used to connect two or more computers to exchange data.

There are several types of cables are commonly used, such as cable utp, stp, coxial and fiber optics. Typically, the cable type used depends on the type of network topology used.
9. Repeater

Repeater is a network device that has the function of expanding the range of a wifi signal from the server so that other devices can be connected.

The workings of the repeater itself is by receiving a signal from the server, then transmitted back to a wider range and strong, denagn other words weak signals can be emitted back into a more powerful and comprehensive.
10. Access Point

This access point consists of antenna and transceiver used for transmitting and receiving signals from the client or vice versa. With the AP, we can connect with wireless LAN networks.

In other words, this access point serves to connect two different types of networks, namely between the wireless network and LAN network.

Given the number of network devices that have been mentioned above, these two or more computers can connect to each other and exchange data. Consider also the kinds of network topology, so that you know some structure or concept before you build a network.

Identify Causes and How to Overcome Slow Laptop

Almost everyone would feel annoyed if they use slow laptop. Even more so when we are doing something, eg office work or school.Even worse if the task should be completed in the near future, perhaps this would be a problem because the laptop that we rely on to accomplish those tasks instead of slow.In addition to inhibiting us in doing the task, laptop lemot also interfere with other activities such as browsing or gaming. Anyway, the laptop is slow very, very annoying! The cause and how to fix slow laptopTo overcome the slow laptop, you first need to know the cause, only then to find solutions to overcome them. But do not worry, in a rather long articles will be discussed thoroughly about these two things.
Here are some of the causes of slow laptop and how to cope:
1. The capacity of your RAM smallRandom Access Memory or RAM is abbreviated with a memory used to store data temporarily on the computer when running a program. The ease of this, the more programs you run on your laptop, the more RAM is also required. RAM has the most important role in terms of multitasking or running programs simultaneously in one time. How to overcomeSo if your laptop is slow or crash when running multiple programs simultaneously, you must add the RAM capacity on your laptop becomes larger, so that the process of multitasking and performance of the laptop is much faster. For the price of RAM with 4GB capacity range of 400 thousand (depending on brand and where you buy).
2. The number of programs that run at one time (multitasking)
As I've said before, the one that causes the laptop to be slow is the passage of many programs at one time. This causes major component work laptop, such as the processor and RAM becomes heavy.
How to overcome :

Try to run the program one by one in order to work the processor and RAM becomes lighter. If you continue to force open many programs at one time, do not blame if your laptop will hang or not responding.

In contrast if your laptop does have a high specification, for example, a laptop with an Intel Core i7 and 8GB RAM, of course it does not matter. (Also depends on what kind of applications being run)
3. The existence of viruses or malware on your laptop

Its name is a virus, his work certainly ruined. More irritated again this virus can copy itself (mutation) and a major cause of laptop performance becomes slow.Besides damaging your important data, this virus can also damage the system files that cause the laptop to be slow and hangs. How to overcome :Use a reliable antivirus to protect your laptop from viruses / malware. Basically antivirus functions all the same, protecting your laptop from the name of the virus. But not all antivirus to block attacks this annoying virus. If your laptop is already infected with the virus / malware and various antivirus from A to Z can not handle it, I recommend immediately do you reinstall windows. After that, do some of these tips to minimize your laptop infected with the virus:1. Update regularly (database) you antivitusEvery day 'maybe' there will be new viruses are created. Suppose your antivirus database out to date, if you are infected with the new virus, your antivirus will not recognize it because of the new virus is not contained in your virus database. Therefore, it is important to keep your antivirus database update routine.2. Do not download haphazardly from the internetInternet is like "blood" on the human body, which is the main medium spread of the virus. So make sure you are more thoughtful and not indiscriminate in to download anything from the internet.3. Do not plug any FD in your laptopThat is, if you plug the FD is infected with a virus on your laptop, your laptop is also likely to be infected with the virus. Therefore, when the FD plug into your laptop, make sure you scan the first on the flash. Suppose this drive is infected with a virus, your antivirus will quarantine or remove the virus.
4. You install / run programs that 'weight'Do not force the program menjalanan your laptop can not run.The point is this, suppose you have a laptop N3540 Intel Pentium processor with 2 GB RAM and you want to install Fifa 2016 game, of course it is very pushy. Since each program or game that has minimal specs alone.
Suppose you want to install the game but the specifications of your laptop is not qualified, I suggest do occasionally install. (Here I am not talking about tweak the system and the like).
5. The number of programs that run at startupThe programs at startup will automatically run when the laptop is first turned on (sign on desktop windows). Increasing number of programs that run on startup, the more weight is also multitasking run your laptop. How to overcomeTo resolve this problem, disable unnecessary programs that run at startup. Remember, the program is not required. Do not until you actually disable system programs or drivers that will cause your laptop does not work properly or crash.Disable only those programs is not important that you recognize, do not disable any programs at startup. To get in on the startup menu there are a number of ways, such as:1. Press Windows + R, then type msconfig.
 2. In the System Configuration window, select Startup menu.
3. For users of Windows 8 and 10, just go to the Task Manager or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc simultaneously then choose the Startup tab.

display startup on windows

4. Right-click the program you want to not run again at startup, then select Disable.

6. The number of programs installed on a laptop

Laptops that installed many programs in one of the causes of laptop becomes slow. It may not be a problem if your laptop has a hard disk capacity is large enough, eg 1TB.

Well different again if your laptop has a capacity of only 320 GB HDD but many applications are installed therein. It became one of the causes of laptop performance becomes slow.
How to overcome

# 1. Uninstall programs that are not essential
As I've said before that many programs installed into one of the triggers laptop becomes slow. Therefore, make sure you install the programs that are truly and a need.

If there are programs that are not important and only rarely use, better than the uninstalled any incriminating computer performance. Especially if the program is running at startup, will increasingly burden the performance of the laptop alone. To check the programs installed on your laptop, please refer to the following steps;

1. Go to Control Panel> Uninstall a program.

2. Please uninstall programs that really are not important or are rarely used by right click the program and select Uninstall.
For uninstalling programs is not arbitrary. You have to really know what program would you uninstall, do not let you uninstall the drivers your laptop that resulted in your laptop is not running properly. Picture below is an example of some of the drivers installed on my laptop:
# 2. Upgrade your HDD capacity becomes larger
Suppose your laptop HDD capacity of the first 320GB, can be upgraded to 500GB or 1TB.With the larger capacity HDD, install many programs on the laptop is not a problem let alone make the laptop becomes slow.If necessary you can also use SSDs have much better performance than HDD. But unfortunately it is relatively expensive with a fairly small capacity, so I do not advise to upgrade to an SSD. I personally mending made to buy RAM than the SSD so much better multitasking activity.# 3. Use external HD
DSuppose you do not want to upgrade your laptop's internal HDD for fear of missing a warranty or fear anything, I recommend using an external HDD only. More portable and easy to under go everywhere. So you can save large files like movies and games into this external HDD.7. Remove the temporary files that accumulateTemporary files are temporary files created by Windows system for a particular purpose. The files in the recycle bin and browser cache activity can also affect the performance of your laptop.
How to overcomeTo solve this problem, I usually use CCleaner. This software can also be used as an alternative to the Windows tool called Disk Cleanup. You can see in the picture below, approximately 300 MB of temporary files, cache files, files in the recycle bin and other files into one trigger my laptop becomes slow already clean.
I suggest you to do cleaning regularly so that your laptop performance is maintained.
8. Hardware laptop is in trouble

Perhaps many do not know that the hardware problems also can cause the laptop to be slow, let's say that happened on my laptop fan.

So a few days ago my laptop fan problem, where the sound of rotation is not as usual, his voice loud and somewhat halting. New use for a while, the laptop becomes hot quickly and somewhat slow, not as usual.

After that I decided to unpack and surprise I saw a pile of dust so thick, where a pile of dust that is the culprit of my laptop fan becomes problematic.

After I clean the dust thick stick, round fan my laptop back to normal and my laptop's performance back to normal. How to overcome:For how to solve it, we must first know where the problematic hardware. In my case, the fan on my laptop there is a very thick dust, where thick dust makes the fan does not run normally. It may be that eventually you will encounter different problems with my hardware, such as a problem with the HDD (most often), processor, VGA or other hardware.9. Hard've never didefragWhen we run an application, the cache of the applications will be stored in the hard disk can reduce the performance of the laptop. In addition, the data mess will gradually accumulate can also cause the laptop to be slow. How to overcomeDefragment the hard drive is done in order to reorganize the data in the hard disk mess. In other words, the fragments of data, which are located far apart would be reorganized into a neat and intact. To defrag the hard drive, please refer to the following steps:1. Go to Control Panel> System and Security Select.2. On the Administrative Tools menu, select Defragment and optimize your drives.select defragment-and-optimize-your-drives3. To perform a defrag the hard drive, click the Optimize button.
4. For users of Windows 8, defragment tool will run automatically every week. To change this, click the Change Settings button and then select a daily (every day), weekly (every week) or monthly (every month).
Maybe something I have not mentioned?

If there are several points that I have not mentioned, you can add them in the comments box you have available. Later if there is spare time, I will update it.

One more thing, the above tips can also be applied to the computer so computer users can apply on the computer. I hope this article helpful and 'illness' slow on a laptop / computer soon disappear. See you later!

This is the Definition and Function Keyboard on Your Computer

As we know, there are a variety of devices that make up a good computer hardware and software. One of the hardware used in the system is a computer keyboard. As a computer device, the keyboard has its own definitions and functions that must be understood, especially for those who live the modern era, it is today.understanding KeyboardThe keyboard can be interpreted as a computer input device which contains a keyboard arrangement of letters, numbers, and other control functions. Although it is not the only input device on the computer, the keyboard's role is very important because some orders in the form of text and another command is entered into the computer system via the keyboard. The shape and arrangement of a computer keyboard is actually almost the same as the keyboard on a typewriter, it's just that there are some other features were added. In other words, the keyboard is used as a tool to deliver the data or commands from one person to the next computer that the data will be converted into a programming language that is understood by the CPU and then be processed carefully.Board modern keyboards used today is the result of the development of keyboard patented by Christopher Scholes in 1868. The term keyboard today does not only refer to the keyboard on the computer, but also refers to a laptop and mobile phone keyboard. Letters that are arranged on each keyboard is always the same that is in the composition of the Qwerty keypad. Keyboard connector (port) PS / 2 keyboard is a type of 'bit' old school in the present.
The keyboard can also be connected to the computer via USB cable CPU as well as with other devices such as wireless or Bluetooth devices that also use the USB port. In contrast to the keyboard using a connecting cable, wireless keyboard or wireless keyboard can be lit using only the battery.
However when a virtual keyboard is also known that only rely on software or applications without hardware.

Function keyboard and the button arrangement

The main functions of a keyboard is to enter data or commands on a computer or what is known as an input device. In a letter the keyboard there are several buttons and indicator lights indicating the keyboard to work properly. The button arrangement include:
1. Main Typing keypad
A main keyboard contains the letters A through Z, punctuation marks and numbers 1-0 are used to enter text into a computer system, for example when typing in Microsoft Office or in the internet browser.
 2. Directional Keys
These four buttons marked with arrows leading character on all four sides. This button is used to move the cursor and screen in the desired direction.
 3. Numeric / Directional Keypad
A key containing the number and cursor transfer button is usually located on the right side of the main typing board. This button will only function if the function keys Numeric key is turned. This button will allow someone to type and enter the numbers into the system.
4. Function Keys
These buttons are above the play button keypad typing and can be recognized from the sign F1 to F12. These buttons serve to set some commands such as storing documents, bring up the help menu while typing in Microsoft Word and others.
5. Special Keys
This button is at the top of the key directional keys and consists of the Home button, Delete, Page up, Page Down, Insert, Print screen, pause break and End.
6. Modifier Keys
Belonging to the keypad are the Ctrl, Alt and Shift. As the name implies, the three keys will change or modify the function of the other keys in the keypad and other buttons can be pressed simultaneously to bring up the command.
Eg Ctrl keys are pressed simultaneously with the letter C will automatically copy the data that has been on the monitor. The combination of these buttons are also often referred to as shortcut keys.
8. The status light (Lock Keys)Is an indicator light which indicates that a key is being used to set an example, the Caps lock function that allows the data typed in capital letters and numeric lock that is used to activate the numeric keypad keys.
9. Windows keys
Usually on a computer keyboard has keys that display windows Microsoft Windows logo itself. This button serves to bring up the menu in the window windows on the computer.

From the definitions and explanations above the keyboard layout so we can know clearly that the function keyboard is clearly used to enter data into a computer system, for example in the form of text and numbers while typing.
Not only that keyboard also serves to move the cursor and monitors are being used more efficiently, or if you have trouble moving the cursor with the mouse. There are many types and brands of keyboards on the market, make sure you choose a good keyboard for your computer so that the device can work optimally.

Definition and Function Operating System (OS) Before You Go

Often we hear the words if the operating system talk about gadgets or computers.

Operating system or more commonly referred to as an OS in the English language is one of the first things you learn as a basic information technology information, especially for those who frequently use computers and gadgets.

In the following article will be explained in more detail about the meaning and function of the operating system you need to know. Check out the explanation as follows:
Understanding Operating Systems

The operating system or also known as the Operating System (OS) is a software or software that is responsible for managing or controlling the hardware or the hardware and software to run the application or within a computer system.

In other words, the operating system is a system that controls the basic operations and ensure the computer system can run properly. The operating system allows an application to function so that the operating system is also referred to as an essential component. Computers and the system can only function with the operating system unless the computer is in a state of booting.

Can be clearly understood that the actual operating system is the link between the hardware with the software or hardware or software. When the computer is first turned on, then we know that it is running an operating system and then after the computer is on, then the program and the application can run.

In essence, the operating system or OS is the system that is the first layer of the disk where memory is placed. Today there are many operating systems available including Linux, Windows, Mac OS and others.

Operating System Functions
As a software in the computer, the operating system has several important functions and without any operating system, the computer can not run the program and its functions. Some of the main functions of the operating system are as follows:

1. Run the basic operations
The main function of the operating system is running on the basic operations of the computer. The system is considered as a vital component of the work underlying software or other software. Before the application is running and able to work on a computer, then operasilah system that allows the program or the application can be run and displayed to the user or users who use the computer device.
2. Set the hardware and software work
It could be said that the operating system is a computer device Resource Manager. That is, the operating system controls the hardware functions such as memory, CPU, hard drives, and other hardware and also regulate the functions of a software program in order to connect with the hardware.
3. Containers or application program
Applications that there in computer is stored in a storage device but the actual applications or programs are located in the container which is the operating system itself. The application is attached to the operating system and can not function without the operating system.By analogy, the operating system is a floor where an item is placed so that the item can be used, for example a table placed on the floor, the table can not function if there is no underlying story is not it?
4. Presenting views
The view that we saw on screen computer or gadget is the result of the operation of the OS or operating system. In other words, the operating system facilitates applications running simultaneously displays them on a computer screen monitor or translate a programming language that comes from the CPU and displays them in the form of text, graphics and other views that are easy to understand. The operating system also acts as an interface between the user or face to face with the hardware it uses.
5. To coordinate the work of computer equipment
In addition to a set of hardware and software to connect to one another, the operating system also serves to coordinate all matters mainly in the computer design programs that are complex to be simpler and sequentially. The operating system facilitates an application in order to work more efficiently.
6. Optimize function computing devices
Another function of the operating system or OS is to optimize the use of hardware and software. For example in the case of arranging the functioning CPU time, calling the data stored in the hard disk memory, or set the time that is used to connect the terminal.
7. Monitor and protect the course of the program functions
The operating system allows a user who has the right to access a computer running a program and control who can access the program, known as the Gate Keeper function. Not only control the user in accessing the system or program, the operating system also oversees everything that is done in the user accessing the program in the computer system.
All files stored in the computer is also protected by the operating system and can only be accessed by people who are entitled to access or have control or a computer device. Thus the notion and function of the operating system that can be understood in general. May be useful!
